Five Beautiful Photo Spots at Stillwater Meadow

There’s no shortage of great spots for photos at Stillwater Meadow! Our family worked meticulously on every detail of our venue to create plenty of opportunities to get the perfect shot. It’s really hard to narrow it down, but here are just a few of our favorites:

In front of the Chapel doors:

If you’ve ever checked out our Instagram, you’ve seen this spot. These massive antique doors nestled within the stone of the chapel make for a perfect spot for a first look, a family photo, or a solo portrait!

The Treehouse:

Right at the front of our property is a precious little cluster of twinkle light-wrapped trees, plants, and handmade stained glass. This is a great place for nighttime portraits or catching some sunlight through the stained glass. Don’t forget to bring a lock with your names and wedding date to add to the trellis!

The couch in the Cabin:

The cabin may be tucked all the way at the back of the property, but don’t think that means it’s not beautiful! There are so many awesome spots in this little historic cabin, but we especially love the vintage leather couch / Edison bulb combo.

The yard behind the Chapel + the swing:

Our property is dotted with gorgeous oak trees from the cottage to the cabin and they create the perfect backdrop. Hanging from one of these trees is our wooden swing (a Stillwater Meadow classic). This is obviously a fantastic spot for portraits with your honey and bridals, but we’ve seen some stellar groomsmen group photos here, too. ;)

The Reception Hall:

It’s hard to beat the feeling you get the first time you open those big wooden doors and see the Reception Hall in all her glory. With the unique wood details, multitude of chandeliers, and string lights strung throughout the room, anywhere you turn is a great spot for a photo. All of the ambient lights stand out against the dark wood details and create a romantic, moody (and very flattering) setting for a great party and even greater photos to capture it.

Make sure to add these to your shot list for your wedding and come see all the other spaces that we created for you!
